Group size We are the smallest city farm in London! This means the maximum group size we can accommodate at one time is 30 children. Some teachers bringing a large class choose to visit as two smaller groups.
Access The farm is fully wheelchair accessible and only ¾ of an acre in size so there is only a very short distance to walk between the animals. We have an accessible toilet.
Self-guided visits Our classroom and kitchen can be hired at £25 per hour if you would like to stay and eat on the farm. You are also welcome to use the outdoor shelter in the ecology garden. In good weather many groups choose to have a picnic on the park opposite the farm.
Parking Unfortunately we don’t have any parking space for coaches and mini-buses but groups can be dropped off and collected on Tyers Street, directly outside the farm entrance. There is parking available outside the farm on pay-on-display meters. Unfortunately, we are just inside the congestion zone.
Safety When you book a visit you will receive a copy of our risk assessment and safety guidelines and you are very welcome to visit the farm prior to your visit to carry out your own risk assessment.
E. coli Vauxhall City Farm has put in place all recommended safety measures and the risk of contracting any illness from the farm is extremely low. We do rely on group leaders to ensure that all members of their group follow hygiene precautions. A copy of our specific zoonoses risk assessment is available on request.
What to wear We strongly recommend that all visitors wear welly boots or old trainers and warm clothes. Sun hats and high factor sun cream are recommended in the summer.
Cancellation policy If a booking is cancelled by the visiting group with less than 2 weeks notice we will charge 75% of the total agreed cost.
