Riding

The farm's riding therapy centre has been providing opportunities for all ages and abilities to learn to ride since the farm opened in 1977. Today we offer a range of different lessons. Read on for details of lesson, visit our riding information page or befriend the horses on Facebook.



Saturday riding for children
Lessons cost £25 for 45 minutes. Some subsidised lessons are available at £12. Children must be to least 8 years old to ride.

Sunday riding for children
10:30 – 1pm. Children attending pony club have 1 ½ hours of stable management and 1 hour of riding. Children must be at least 8 years old and each session costs £35. Some subsidised sessions are available at £23.

Riders must become members of the Pony Club.

Commercial lessons for individuals
On Monday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons and evenings. Lessons cost £28 for 30 minutes. Available for adults and child aged 4 years and above.

Commercial lessons for groups
On Sunday afternoons and Thursdays from 7:30 pm. Suitable for teenagers and adults who can walk, trot and canter. Lessons cost £28 for 45 minutes.   

Riding for the disabled
Riding offers theraputic benefits and the chance for riders to achieve their personal goals.

We offer Riding for the Disabled lessons for school groups. We also offer sessions for individuals at a subsidised rate on Monday evenings.
