- £100 for groups of up to 30
Access - The farm is fully wheelchair accessible and only ¾ of an acre in size so there is only a very short distance to walk between the animals. We have an accessible toilet.
Parking - Unfortunately we don’t have any parking space for coaches and mini-buses but groups can be dropped off and collected on Tyers Street, directly outside the farm entrance. There is parking available outside the farm on pay-on-display meters. Unfortunately, we are just inside the congestion zone.
Safety - When you book a visit you will receive a copy of our risk assessment and safety guidelines and you are very welcome to visit the farm prior to your visit to carry out your own risk assessment.
E. coli - Vauxhall City Farm has put in place all recommended safety measures and the risk of contracting any illness from the farm is extremely low. We do rely on group leaders to ensure that all members of their group follow hygiene precautions. A copy of our specific zoonosis risk assessment is available on request.
What to Wear - We strongly recommend that all visitors wear welly boots or old trainers and warm clothes. Sun hats and high factor sun cream are recommended in the summer.
Cancellation Policy - If a booking is cancelled by the visiting group with less than 2 weeks' notice we will charge 75% of the total agreed cost.
Farmer for a Day
The Farmer For A Day program is aimed at young people between the ages of 8 and 14 and it includes feeding, grooming, handling and mucking out (but not too much) of all our lovely farm animals.
You will complete different activities throughout the day, allowing you to collect the three badges you will need to receive your Farmer For A Day certificate and Vauxhall City Farm rosette.
The programme is a great way to learn about animals, how to look after them, what and when to feed them and much more. It is also a fantastic way to show responsible pet ownership and prove that maybe, you’ll be ready to have your own pet animal soon.
Farmer For A Day costs £70 and runs 10am – 4pm, we have two dates available:
Tuesday 27th May 2014 (Cleaning out small animals, handling and restraining small animals, health checking small animals)
Friday, 30th May 2014 (Mucking out large animals, handling and restraining large animals, health checking large animals)
Email Michelle (email@example.com) to book or for more information.
