Self-guided visits
Free
Entry to the farm is free and you are welcome to bring a group for a self guided visit between 10.30am-4.30pm, Wednesdays-Fridays. Booking is essential to ensure the farm does not become too busy and groups who have not booked may be turned away. On booking you will receive a free pre-visit pack containing background information, a risk assessment and a selection of activity sheets for your group to use.
Guided tours
£2.50 per child for groups based outside Lambeth
£2 per child for groups based in Lambeth
Meet the animals and experience the sights, sounds and smells of the farmyard with one of our popular guided tours. Tours last approximately one hour and are led by our friendly education workers. Children are encouraged to stroke the animals, ask lots of questions and even sing!
We tailor each tour to your group's requirements so if you would like to focus on a particular topic please let us know. The talk tours are suitable for all age groups.
Workshops
From £1.50 per child
Choose one of our curriculum linked workshops to support your classroom topic and make the most of your trip. Groups booking both a tour and a workshop receive a 10% discount! For full details of workshops please download our brochure.
Incubation in the classroom - now booking for Spring 2012!
£200 for groups based in Lambeth
£240 for groups based outside Lambeth
Hatching chicks in your own classroom is a very special experience. We provide everything you need including child-friendly incubators that make it easy to watch the chicks hatching. As well as coming to set the project up we will deliver two educational sessions and bring chickens and ducks to visit the children in school. The chicks return to us afterwards so you can have peace of mind knowing they will be well cared for - you can even bring the class to visit them. Spaces are very limited so please book early!
