Young People’s Project GOATS (Giving Opportunities and Training)

The G.O.A.T.S. Project is funded by the Jack Petchey Foundation and stands for ‘Giving Opportunities and Training Support for Young People’. This project enables work experience placements for young people from in and around London, giving them an insight into the working environment and also a change to achieve and enjoy their experience. Over 30 work experience placements are given each year.

The G.O.A.T.S. Project also facilitates two apprenticeships on the farmyard. These are young people not in employment, education or training (NEET) to earn a salary while learning and getting vocational qualifications. Currently these apprentices are studying towards their NVQ2 in Animal Care through KEITS (Keeping Excellence in Training Standards).
